General
These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which you can use this website and place orders. By ordering goods from cyclingcomponents.co.uk you are deemed to have understood and accepted these terms. We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any such changes will take effect from when they are posted on the website. It is your responsibility to check the terms and conditions each time you use the website. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Placing an Order
You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of information in your order and your billing and delivery details. You warrant that all details provided in the order for the purpose of purchasing the goods are correct, that you are authorised to use the credit or debit card you are using and that there are sufficient funds and/or sufficient unused limit available to cover the cost of the goods. It is your responsibility to ensure you have selected the correct preferences which govern the country you are ordering from and the currency in which our prices are displayed as well as the country to which your order will be dispatched. All orders are subject to our acceptance. Certain items available on our website, such as specialist tools incorporating knives, may only be ordered by customers over 18 years old. Such items are indicated on our website. When you order such items you warrant that you are over 18 years old. We provide the specifications for products listed on our website and you are responsible for ensuring that the products you order meet your requirements and adhere to any local regulations for import or use in your country. When you have placed an order to purchase a product from us, we will send you an email confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. We will send you a further email confirming that we have dispatched the products to you. No contract for the sale of any product will exist between you and us until we accept your order by dispatching the products to you. The emails confirming receipt of your order and confirming dispatch will be sent to the email address given in your order and will detail products ordered, payment method, cost (including any VAT applied on orders in the European Union and delivery and handling charges). You should check all the details in these emails are correct and contact us as soon as possible if any details are incorrect. If your order has not been accepted, you will receive an email from us notifying you.
Payment
All prices quoted within our website are in GB Pounds Sterling (£) and include UK VAT (Value Added Tax) at current UK rates. All Non-EU Nations may purchase from our website UK VAT Free.
At times, it may be necessary to adjust prices in the event of an increase in VAT rates, or as a result of a manufacturer price increase. Prices may adjusted without prior notice, though for any orders placed or any orders on Back Order, we will honour the price point at the time your order was placed. Customers are entitled to a full refund if this is not acceptable.
Payment can be made by most major credit and debit cards and payment is taken at the time we receive your order. If a problem in supply should occur, we will notify you by email or telephone and your payment method will be refunded as quickly as possible. The refund may take a few days to show as cleared funds on your account, depending on your payment provider.
When we provide any products to you under these Conditions, payment will be charged to the credit or debit card account provided by you during checkout. Any deposit paid will be deducted from the final payment on any order. By placing an order, you consent to payment being charged to your credit or debit card account as provided on the order. All credit and debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
Payment over the Internet can be made via our secure check out pages. If your delivery address is outside of the UK, you may be required to pay import duties and taxes when your Cycling Components order reaches your country. These and any additional charges for customs clearance are your responsibility, and Cycling Components will not be held liable for any fee’s charged/incurred.
Availability
While we aim to hold the vast majority of the goods listed on our website in stock, some items may only be available “to order.” Our website will indicate whether products are in stock at the time of your order or whether they are available “to order.” Where items are only available to order, we will provide an estimated despatch date, and we will endeavour to despatch all items within the quoted time. If there is likely to be any delay beyond the estimated despatch date then we will contact you and either offer an alternative or cancel the order. You have the right to cancel delayed orders at any time.
When you place an order with some items in stock, and other items to order, such items may arrive separately, and we will endeavour to keep you updated with order progress for any remaining items. Cycling Components has no liability to you for any delay in the delivery of products ordered. We will do our best to get all orders sent out as quickly as possible and if there is likely to be any delay whatsoever in the despatch of your order, beyond a reasonable timescale then we will contact you. Most orders where stock is available are despatched within 5 working days, though this does not apply to Complete Bicycles or Framesets. For bicycles that are being built to customer order, then you will be advised at the point of Confirmed Order the approximate date for completion of a custom bike build, though we stress, this is an Estimate Only and we can not be held responsible for delays beyond our control. Delivery
UK orders will be delivered using Royal Mail, Collect Plus or a reputable courier such as DHL or UPS. Where you have selected a Priority Despatch, all items will either be despatched via DHL, UPS are another reputable courier. International orders will be despatched via Royal Mail, DHL, UPS or FedEx Courier and either service will be used at the discretion of Cycling Components.
If your delivery address is outside of the UK or EEC, you may have to pay import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. You must meet any additional charges for customs clearance. Please note customs policies vary widely from country to country. We recommend you contact your local customs office for further information. International shipments may be subject to cross-border inspections by customs authorities. Cycling Components will not be held liable for any fees charged/incurred.
Whilst every effort is made to ensure prompt delivery, Cycling Components shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver your order resulting from circumstances beyond our control.
Returns & Refunds
We want you to be 100% satisfied with any item purchased from Cycling Components. Therefore, we have a straight-forward 30 day returns policy, which is detailed below. Our Cancellation and Returns Policy does not affect your statutory rights.
We will happily exchange or refund any item purchased on cyclingcomponents.co.uk so long as it remains unused, and is returned in all original packaging. This does not apply to faulty goods, where items may be returned under warranty within the manufacturers’ stated warranty period and subject to the respective manufacturers’ terms and conditions for General Wear and Tear.
Once we have inspected your returned items then if you need a refund, this will be made in the same way as the original payment method. We are unable to refund deposits payable on high value items, which we will have obtained specifically to fulfil your order. - How Do I Cancel an Order?
You must contact us as quickly as possible after placing your order, should you wish to cancel. If your order has not been despatched at the point of your cancellation request, we will be able to cancel your order immediately. Any refund may take a few days to show as cleared funds on your account, depending on your payment provider.
Where orders have already been despatched, and a despatch notification has been emailed to you, then it is your responsibility to return the item to us, unused and in all original packaging. We recommend that you obtain a certified proof of postage for the return postage, and you will be responsible for the postage charges and the costs of any other services provided to you in connection with your purchase.
- How Do I Return an Item?
You can return any item within 30 days of receipt for a refund of that item or to exchange it for the same item in a different size or colour, as long as you meet the following conditions. Unless damaged or defective, we accept the return of items only if they are unopened (except in cases where the item has to be tried for fit) and in their original condition. In the case of clothing or other items which have to be tried for fit, any returns must be in their original packaging and with any labels still attached. We can not accept returns for items where original manufacturers’ tags and/or labels have been removed.
- What happens if I receive an item that is Damaged, Faulty or Defective?
In the unlikely even that you receive an item that is deemed as Damaged, Defective or Faulty, then we would be happy to provide you with a replacement, exchange of full refund.
You should inspect all deliveries from us as soon as possible after receipt to ensure that the items delivered not damaged or defective. You must notify us of any issues with your order within 7 days of receipt and we will advise on how to return such items. These items must be returned to Cycling Components, and we will refund your return postage costs.
Please note all items will be inspected on their return. If an item returned is found not to be damaged or defective, you will be responsible for the postage charges and the costs of any other services provided to you in connection with your purchase.
- What happens if I receive an incorrect item or incorrect quantity?
In the unlikely even that you receive an item that is incorrect or does not contain the quantity ordered, we will resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
You should inspect all deliveries from us as soon as possible after receipt to ensure that the items delivered are correct. You must notify us of any issues with your order within 7 days of receipt.
If we have despatched an item in error, then these items must be returned to Cycling Components, and we will refund your return postage costs. Upon receipt, we will then send the correct item to you.
In the event that we have sent an incorrect quantity, then we will send another item(s) as quickly as possible in order to complete your order.
Please note all items will be inspected on their return. If an item returned is found not to be sent in error by us; you will be responsible for the postage charges and the costs of any other services provided to you in connection with your purchase.
- International Returns?
Customers outside of the UK must follow the instructions below along with our standard returns procedure as set out above.
Please mark all returns as Returned Goods. This must be clearly marked on the customs information document ( CN22 and/ or CN 23) on the outside of the packaging. Failure to do so may result in the goods being refused at customs in the UK and so being returned to the sender.
- International Returns - Can I Reclaim Duty on Returned Items?
If you are returning items to us that have been subject to import duty you should be able to claim a refund for any duties you have paid by contacting your local customs authority and providing them with proof of the original duty paid and proof of the export back to us, such as a certificate of posting. Please contact your local customs authority for further advice.
Liability
We will attempt to ensure that the information available on the Cycling Components website at any time is accurate. However, we will not be held liable for any errors or omissions. We will use all reasonable endeavours to correct errors and omissions as quickly as practicable after becoming aware or being notified of these. We do not accept liability for any errors and/or omissions contained in our website and reserve the right to change information, prices, specifications and descriptions of listed goods, products and services at any time and without notice. All drawings, descriptive matter and specifications of the goods on the website are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods. We make every effort to ensure that images of products on our website are accurate. However we are not liable for any slight differences in colour between the goods and the images shown on our website. We may also change, suspend or discontinue any aspect of the website, including the availability of any features, information, database or content or restrict access to parts or the entire website without notice or liability. We make no warranty that the website will meet your requirements or will be uninterrupted, timely or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs or represents the full functionality, accuracy, and reliability of the website. We will not be responsible or liable to you for any loss of content or material uploaded or transmitted through the website. We shall have no liability to you for any delay in the delivery of products ordered or any other matters to the extent that the delay is due to any event outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, flood, fire, labour disputes, strikes, lock-outs, riots, civil commotion, malicious damage, explosion, governmental actions and any other similar events. If our service to you is affected in such circumstances, we will notify you as soon as possible. Except in respect of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, we will not be liable to you, for any loss of profit or any indirect special or consequential loss, damage, costs, expenses or other claims, which arise out of or in connection with the use of the website and/or the supply of goods. To the fullest extent permissible under applicable law, we disclaim any and all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, in relation to products purchased from our website. This does not affect your ability to cancel your contract or return product in accordance with our Returns and Exchanges Procedures or your statutory rights as a consumer.
We have taken every measure to prevent internet fraud and ensure any data collected from you is stored as securely and safely as possible. However, we cannot be held liable in the extremely unlikely event of a breach in our secure computer servers. Specification
